The purpose of this mod is to integrate the FCKeditor into the Zen Cart 1.3.x series.
This mod was originally packaged by the Zen Cart team based on FCKEditor v2.3.1.
It was subsequently updated by iChoze Internet Solutions who integrated versions 2.4.3 and then 2.5.
This latest update integrates version 2.6.4.1 which fixes a key security vulnerability. The packaging for Zen Cart goes further by shielding the vulnerable page from external accesses.
Unzip the release package, rename the admin folder to reflect you admin folder's name then drag all three folders into the root folder for your site (that's the one with an includes folder already as well as images, cache, media and a number of others).
If you intend to use the file manager, for example for uploading and using image files directly in the editor, then change the permissions for the myfiles folder to 777 or 755 as advised by your web host. You may wish to change line 30 of the editor/filemanager/connectors/php/config.php file to true as by default it's false, which prevents the upload of files. However, please be aware that these steps can leave your site open to security vulnerabilities.
Login to Admin and in Configuration > My Store find the HTML Editor option. Set it to FCKeditor and clear your cache. You may also need to set the editor on individual pages the first time around.
If you have any problems using this add-on module, then first review its support thread to see if the question has already been answered. If not post a query there. What support we can offer will be through the Zen Cart support forum so that all users can benefit. Please don't send us emails, PMs or telephone us at work - these won't get you help, they'll get you blacklisted.
This module integrates the FCKeditor developed by Frederico Caldeira Knabben. It's a highly regarded editor, and you can find out more about it at http://www.fckeditor.net.
However, it has no association with the Zen Cart project, or with Kuroi Web Design, neither of whom will accept any responsibility for problems or flaws with it, now or in the future. If you choose to install and use this add-on module, we recommend that visit the program's site regularly to keep up-to-date with any security vulnerabilities that may be reported or updates that are made available.
